Universal Saturday

So Friday night before bed, we decided that visiting Universal Studios was the best way to end our vacation.

So up and early we got and hit the road. We got there for just after 9am.

We did Universal Studios first since that side was closing down at 5 to get ready for their Halloween Extravaganza.

The Frozen ButterBeer was awesome. The Harry Potter stuff was so cool. I loved it. When you were waiting in line for the Forbidden Journey ride, it was like walking through Hogwarts. The ride was like nothing else. It's hard to describe. You have to experience it for yourself.

  

Sunday will be the flight home and back to reality but to be honest, I'm looking to come home. I'm ready for cooler weather.

Friday Lyeday

So Friday was pretty uneventful. 

We had to check out of the Hilton and check into Pelican Pointe, our other cheaper hotel. It is actually quite nice and would most likely stay here again, when we bring Annie.

We did a beach walk and gathered some seashells for Annie. Swam a little, napped, it was pretty boring but nice not doing anything.

We got some great sunset pics too.

Devon and Chad's Wedding Day

So today was the big day for Devon and Chad! The whole reason for the Florida trip! So we thank you for giving us this opportunity to share in your big day and enjoy the sunny weather!

It was a picture perfect beach wedding and the food was amazing! I especially loved the open bar and was blitzed before dinner even started. I think I ate most of the cheese platter! Lol

During the day, Ryan and I had breakfast at Maggie Mae's. Cute little breakfast restaurant and was about a 30 minute walk. In the words of Ryan, "it was friggin hot!"

We needed to cool down, so a swim in the ocean was next on our list. I am not going to lie, but when a minnow the size of a shark jumped over me, I may have screamed like a little school girl!!!! Lol in Ryan's opinion thank you very much!

Then we hung out poolside with the bride and her girl entourage. Drink special was a mango something for $5. It was a great relaxing afternoon before the party.

We are both so happy for you Devon and Chad and wish you a life of happiness!

Wednesday = safe arrival

So we safely arrived in Florida, actually 20 minutes earlier then expected. We didn't get seats beside each other either. Lol I forgot to check in until the night before and that basically put us at the bottom of the list. We were almost the last to board and the seating is first come, first serve. Oh well I survived the flight anyways.

We proceeded right to the rental car place and got our car. Ryan really wanted the Chevy Spark. All the had was either a Ford Fiesta or a Toyota Yaris. Since the Yaris is a really gay car, we chose the Fiesta.

She is one sweet ride!

We started driving and since we only have the iPad as a GPS, we needed to stop for free wifi. McDonalds here we come. A pumpkin spice latte and a cheeseburger later, we decided to head to an outlet mall since check in at the Hilton wasn't until 4pm.

Lots of great stuff to buy but my heart was set on finding a pair of red high top converse and I succeeded!

Ryan got a sweet pair of blacked out converse.

After a long day, Ryan and I decided to have a romantic dinner together paired with a few glasses of wine. We took a nice walk and a piece of cheesecake before calling in the night.

Day 1 in Florida was quite nice!

Tuesday Sept 17 - night B4 flight

So I was counting down the minutes until I finished work, got home, and Ryan had all the shit together with a pizza ready to go! We kissed Annie good-bye, hopped in the car and the stressing began!
Okay, so maybe I stress about things periodically but it's no big deal.
I really don't like travelling in the states. I'm always scared that I'm going to do something and end up in jail. I thought for sure something was going to happen at the border cause I was so nervous and sweating. However we made it.
We are at the Days Hotel right across the street from the airport and the car is safely parked in a gated area until we return on Sunday.
I can't stop thinking about the flight tomorrow and Ryan is making me more anxious with his silly faces and goofy voices. You shouldn't be making fun of me Tweds!
